The nightmare unfolds, you have just put up your website and put a bunch of blog posts up it's been about six weeks. Then terror strikes you just did a promotion of your website with articles, you commented on others blogs, you did track-backs, your building up interested people, and did some advertising, and got a traffic spike to your website and it goes down.

The new web host you are with is not capable of handling a traffic spike. You did not know that they had crammed thousands of websites onto the same server, CPU, memory bank, as your website. You have already been through this before but not exactly the same problem. Always a serious problem and a different one every time with a different company every time.

This website you are starting is new and is experimental and you did not want to get a dedicated host just for this new website until you find that it is successful. You also wanted to test this new hosting company. You tried customer service but was put on hold forever. You emailed but it is taking days.

You call customer service and ask about the traffic spike. Your angry your site went down with all the traffic was coming and you lost many visitors. They may never come back to your site again you wasted your advertising money and your time.

They offered you so many months free web hosting to sign up with this company now you have to move all your files to another company.

I can feel for you because I've been there myself I've been suckered into the bonuses, free monthly service for a certain period, binding contracts, bandwidth limiting, bandwidth charging, and wasted many hours on lousy web hosts.

I can feel your pain now you have to figure out how to move your files of your posts, download, upload, search, recover, backup, receive, rescue, rename, re-file, regurgitate, then reload them on to another hosting company, but the bigger problem is who is really the best web hosting company that has been constantly the best through the years, and not just good for a few months?

You go somewhere else and it will most likely be the same story but a little different. Slow loading, lousy control panel, hidden fees, glitch filled software, non-existent customer service, good for a while then turn to junk, etc.
